I started my career in accounting over seventeen years ago as an internal auditor for a manufacturing company.  After passing the CPA exam in 1999 (Certificate 8368), I began working with small businesses providing basic bookkeeping and tax work, as well as doing personal tax returns for friends and family.  My focus has always been providing quality at a fair price.  I do this by targeting the services I offer, leveraging technology, and keeping overhead costs to a minimum.  Based on my experience with other clients, I am confident I can improve your business or personal bottom line by offering my services at prices much lower than you are currently paying for accounting and tax services.  In most cases the savings are 25% to 30%.

While working with small businesses providing core services, I continued to work as a finance professional in various industries.  I have experience as an internal auditor, financial reporting manager, controller, and business consultant.  I have worked in public accounting, manufacturing, retail, and real estate.  I believe my real world industry experience and my fourteen years experience working with small businesses and individuals is unique.  This perspective has allowed me to understand critical issues of compliance and financial processes businesses face everyday.

I have undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Accounting, and a Masters in Public Administration.  I am a Certified Public Accountant with an active license and a Certified Internal Auditor (presently inactive).  I am also a veteran with twenty years service in the Alabama National Guard and proudly served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2004).
